You have followed the advice about diet and exercise and how it applies to curing liver disease and you started to see results. You now understand how getting rid of fatty liver can change your life, but you want to get there faster.

What do you do?

My advice is introducing supplements. I’ve selected the three supplements all studies agree will regenerate your liver.

And you don’t need to be skeptical about them – they were tested in scientific studies and reversed not only mild cases of liver disease but even liver cancer and failure. So much so that the pharmaceutical industry is already performing various studies to extract the active substance from them and create a new liver pill.

Ginger

Ginger is an excellent addition to your kitchen. It has a spicy flavor (be careful not to add too much) and you can find it dried, fresh, and pickled. You can use it as a condiment or make tea with it (try ginger and lemon tea). Pickled ginger is used to reset your tongue between two different flavored dishes so the flavor from the first doesn’t taint the flavor of the second.

Ginger is also used in gingerbread, cookies, cakes, ginger ale, ginger beer… However, the other substances in these recipes are not very good for your liver and you should avoid them.

Turmeric

Yet another powerful condiment. Turmeric belongs to the ginger family and its main use is in curries to impart a rich yellow color. It is also used for this purpose in several dairy and baked products.

Fresh turmeric is hard to come by. It can be used to make pickles or added to salads. It’s leaves are traditionally used in Ayurvedic practices.

Milk Thistle

This is the holy grail of liver protecting supplements – it can even cure acute cases of mushroom poisoning that would otherwise kill a person and it is already used for this purpose by Western medicine at hospitals.

It can easily be found in capsules, but it can also be used in salads and even roasted, if you can find it fresh. It is closely related to the artichoke and a few studies have shown that the artichoke has liver healing properties as well, so you may want to add it to your diet.
